I play games on NES,SNES and PS1 especially made in Japan and I wonder what has become of the people that poured their hearts into these games and I realize they are old or sadly dead by now.So I appreciate them and think to the console and the limitations they had and how they went above and beyong

I just assumed the physical carts take longer to manufacture. And with PC/Steam its easier to release digitally and its acsessible to more people and cheaper.

Back in the day it was a back and forth while we had instruction booklets with art sadly the original art that was made for game in Japan was ditched by the US publisher in favor of new art. And that was far inferor because it was seen as more palatablie to US audiences. Example Megaman 1.

I used to think the NES cover art was horrible but I think it is kinda cool now. Its not Japanese accurate to his design but its a unique take on Strider. I think its the same artist that did the Megaman 2 cover so it has the same look.

Such a great port of the game. You look at the Genesis one and while clearly a step down from the arcade(side by side) it has enough where its a good port for the console. The the NES went in a different direction. Cool game but could of used a few more months of dev time. Its feels"glitchy"

You can always fix that. The 2014 game is a must play. And the original arcade game is on one of the Steam Capcom arcade collections.

The fact we got Tales 2(Eternia) was amazing. Wild Arms 4 and 5 are still fun old school JRPGs. I find the original 2 still good but battles just too slow now. Great soundtracks.

Ahhhh. Symphony. Even with the improvements in every aspect in the sequels a LOT of fans still like that one the best. Nostaliga? Either was its still great and still worth playing even now.

Holy shit! Me to. Sony did not want 2D games on their new 3D capable console. There was push back on the game. They were iffy on SOTN of all games. So I said fuck that and imported Gradius Gaiden. It is still a great installment of the series.
