Unbelievable turnout at today’s food drive, led by Patrick Hanley, helping families hit by the end of SNAP benefits.
The food bank was overflowing. The community showed up—but generosity isn’t a replacement for policy.
No one should have to choose between food and healthcare.
We are receiving numerous reports of ICE all over Evanston today, as well as other northern suburbs and the north side of Chicago. Please stay safe, stay alert, and call 855-435-7693 if you spot ICE, CBP, or other federal agents.

Where you stand on this should not have anything to do with what you think about Kat’s policy proposals or what she says in this campaign.
Where you stand has to be about the rule of law.
Every American, in this district and around the country, should stand with Kat as she fights these charges.
As a former federal prosecutor, I know the care that is supposed to go into charging decisions, and this is plainly a political prosecution - an attempt by the Trump Administration to not only intimidate protesters but turn them into propaganda.

This is not law enforcement. Obscured identities, refusing basic questions, threatening an elected official, and needlessly resorting to violence, all with the camera on.
With any accountability, they’d be the ones in cuffs. This administration is lawlessness, top to bottom.
