Some Northwestern students boycotting antibias training A group of Northwestern students are protesting the school’s mandatory anti-bias training that addresses antisemitism on campus.

A group of students are boycotting Northwestern’s controversial antibias training video, which critics say conflates criticism of Israel with antisemitism. Those who refuse to complete the online training will be unable to enroll in fall classes, the university said.

The D3 zoning district is considered the "highest density of business infill development and large scale redevelopment in downtown Evanston."

Fwiw, 605 Davis is currently zoned D3

Biss called for U.S. recognition of Palestine in August, also calling for offensive arms sales to be stopped. He did not call Israel's actions a genocide, instead using the word 'atrocities'

605 Davis intro vote delayed a month - Evanston Now Developers say they'll consider all options on potentially shortening the tower to gain the five votes needed.

Rodgers now agrees to pull his motion to send it back to LUC

He says he'd support 20-24 floors instead

That means this will likely be tabled for a future council meeting to make slight height changes to get Nieuwsma on board

Nieuwsma, Harris (probs), Iles, Geracaris and Nieuwsma would be the 5

Nieuwsma says he'd support a reduction in one floor of parking, pushing the lost spots to city-owned lots and a slight floor reduction

Like I previously said, Nieuwsma had conversations with developers recently about 28 floors, reducing one parking and two residential

Convo right now is between two things

1) Table this today and let the developers make adjustments to get to 5 yes votes

2) Send it back to the Land Use Commission

Sounds like the push to send it back to land use might fail, which will likely mean the project will be tabled later this evening
