Oh we’re breaking NCAA Records in December?! 🤯
Doris Lemngole runs a NCAA 5000m record in 14:52.57. Leading a pack of 4 to 4 of the 6 fastest marks in NCAA indoor history.
Some first impressions and observations: • The long distance group racing 3000m & 5000m will always get a day off. No Slam features two 5Ks on the same day. • Men's 800m/1500m group will go: 1500-800 in Jamaica on Day 2/3; 1500-800 in Miami on Day 1/2; 800-1500 in Philly on Day 1/2; 800-1500 in LA on Day 2/3. • Women's 800/1500m group will go: 800-1500 in Jamaica on Day1/2; 1500-800 in Miami on Day 2/3; 1500-800 in Philly on Day 2/3; 800-1500 in LA on Day 1/2. • The 100m/200m group will primarily race 100m and then 200m on back-to-back days at three of the four Slams. In Philly, they'll go 200 on Day 1 and then 100m on Day 3. • Athletes competing in the hurdles/flat race combos will always hurdle before the flat sprints race. The flat 100m or 400m races featuring hurdle specialists won't be contested on the same day that 100m and 400m specialists take that race on.
