It’s wrong for the UK Government to balance the books on the backs of sick and disabled people. We need Scottish MPs to stand up for justice and compassion now. #WeDemandBetter

We are seeing a lot of vulnerable clients very distressed at being migrated to universal credit and struggling to manage. The funding to local CAB was cut as the DWP said they would help face to face, but clients are telling us they are being turned away and signposted to local underfunded CAB. 😢

Please encourage any pensioners you know to get a benefit check!! Poverty is very real. Our client who we helped recently just told us:
“ I’m 78 and because of these benefits I’ve been able to afford to stop working & fully retire”

Have you or a family member been awarded a disability benefit. Get advice about other additional benefits you may now be entitled to! This could include pension credit top ups, council tax reduction or universal credit. Even if you’re working. “You don’t know, what you don’t know!”

Sometimes when we’re crazy busy, our client feedback reminds us why we do this job ❤️
“Your adviser was my guardian angel. I felt so ashamed. Without the adviser helping me, I would have took my life. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The empathy, the dignity made me feel human.”

There are additions like the severe disability premium that you could lose out on if you don’t get good advice now before you or a family member are migrated, so please get advice and a benefit check. ❤️

If you or a family member are struggling on universal credit, check any deductions that are being made and see if you can ask for these to be lowered and give you some breathing space. They are often automatically set at the highest rate! If you need help contact your local CAB or advice agency.
