Confirmation of a phased approach to the Radio Teleswitch Service switch off has been welcomed by Consumer Scotland.
Industry, government and regulator Ofgem have confirmed a gradual phase out from July.

Our members shared some of their concerns about the Radio Teleswitch switch-off last year. Worryingly, insufficient progress has been made and about 100k households will not have been upgraded by the deadline at the end of June.

The Radio Teleswitch switch-off is happening at the end of June 2025. It controls the heating of around 120,000 households in Scotland.
You need your meter changed or risk losing heat or having your bills spiralling, contact your supplier now.
