Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

Make no mistake: the United States is currently under attack, an attack led by the president, abetted by his lickspittle lieutenants, condoned by his sycophantic followers, and carried out by his private force of thugs.

AOC: What we saw today was a criminal murder a woman while she was trying to flee for her life. What we saw today was a manifestation of every American’s worst nightmare: their government turning into a tyranny.

He's also responsible for raising all the money that paid for bringing Hollingsworth v. Perry & even more importantly Bostic v. Schaefer, which created the circuit split that forced SCOTUS to take on Obergefell v. Hodges. The role he played in American marriage equality cannot be overstated.

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.

Over-reliance on models risks degrading the quality of vital statistics, and BLS openly states the cuts are due to budget constraints, not strategy, and they haven’t even measured the impact on regional inflation numbers. TPM notes the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is increasingly relying on "imputed" data—estimates—rather than actual price collection for calculating inflation. While modeling and imputation can improve accuracy in hard-to-reach areas (like with the Census), they aren’t a substitute for raw data.
