Had a one-off substitute teacher in hs who also really tried to demean my interest in an art career & told me I was better off as a doctor or a lawyer.
Made me quietly cry in class and resolve later that 'no I'd be a shitty doctor/lawyer are you kidding me someome would die/go to jail' lol

Parents used to tell me to do something that made me happy. For better and for worse, I enjoyed making art in 5th grade and would get $ out of the other kids for it lol. I officially opened comms in senior year when I got my first bank account and haven't rly quitted that side gig since. 1/3
