I couldn’t agree more. In my book, I give a framework of modern U.S. factions as an inherently intra-party phenomenon.

The public really needs to understand this. Every university system in the world rests on public funding, there has never been an alternative model at any time in history.

We have universities for literally the same reason that we have roads and armies.

even if literally all domestic consumption in agriculture and, say, the auto industry were domestic--which it won't be--automation means those industries would *still* not support the number of workers they did in the past. Nor were those jobs as great as folks remember. It's all false nostalgia.

1. Short everything
2. Announce tariffs
3. Close out short positions
4. Buy the dip
5. Call off the tariffs
6. Sell the spike
7. Repeat

Is there any reason to believe Trump's entire inner circle isn't doing this?

The Dept. of Political Science at OU is hiring the Henry Bellmon Chair of Public Service, an endowed tenured position in public administration at the rank of associate or full professor. I know little about the position but am happy to answer questions about OU and Norman

Left diagram shows basic checks and balance powers between executive and legislative branches; right diagram shows that legislative impeachment powers do not function under partisan polarization.

Left diagram shows basic checks and balance powers between executive and legislative branches; right diagram shows that legislative impeachment powers do not function under partisan polarization.

Put simply, constitutional checks and balances are not functioning as intended because the system was not designed for agents with robust partisanship that is highly polarized. A polarized legislature is unable to check other branches effectively because partisan incentives beat institutional ones.
