I moved up a hill thinking, lll be running up this in no time. 20 years later and I never did, so we moved. Up another hill! I don't run up this one either but I'm hoping the daily slog up will help me live a bit longer, or at least it'll feel longer!

It is odd! My dahlias are looking very happy now after we finally had some rain, all summer despite supposedly loving hot climes they've been looking feeble (I did water them).

Oh! Do you get slugs and snails on you dahlias? We don't suffer here but I have noticed if I don't take them in for the winter snails and slugs proliferate on them.
