Wood constructed hanging model railroad bridge

I installed the hanging model railroad bridge to ensure my measurements were correct. I am replacing the rest of the railroad too to match the new color because my wife likes the unstained more. 😀

Note: rail bed wood is the former stained piece… the rest is the new work (about half of what I did).

Crafting the new hanging bridge for my train layout along my ceiling. This time I am reinforcing the red oak with metal floating shelf bracket inserts. You can see a prototype on the bottom of the pic. Brass chain will connect the top brace to the bottom track support. #modelrailroad #woodworking

For families in Greenbelt area, the tree lighting celebration is in Roosevelt Center on Friday, December 6 starting at 7pm. On Sunday December 8 from 10am - 12pm Santa has fit time into their busy schedule and will be at the Youth Center for free pictures with your kiddos.

We ventured out today and Chay Restaurant in Falls Church VA has some excellent vegetarian Viet and Thai food. To date the best (vegetarian) Pho Chay we have experienced hands down in the region.
