I manage a ratio of 3 or 4 cupboard / drawer openings to obtain one piece of equipment at work. More if I’m in A&E or an unfamiliar theatre.

Interesting that etomidate gets a key mention here but fentanyl / midazolam doesn’t (alright, it’s 2 agents but at least it hasn’t been cancelled)

Can’t think of any where it couldn’t be replaced, but I’d definitely want a fast and committing effect from whatever I was giving!

Not sure about evidence.

But…in this situation they’re normally going blue and I want rapid control, with the option of rapid intubating conditions (which sux gives you, whereas roc 0.2 would mandate another dose and a longer wait).
