I finally completed all 10 volumes of Journey to the West.
Didn't realize half of volume 10 was appendixes. So while I finished the main novel couple of days ago, guess it did take me a little while to finish off that thick appendix lol

Gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this novel.

and WuKong, Bajie & WuJing each show the feats of their strengths and martial arts prowess.

The 3 princes also use similar weapons as their masters as well; the eldest using an steel staff, middle one using iron rake, & youngest using Shaolin Spade.

Gotta say, these were fun new facts to find out

being disciples of the monk Tripitaka, but it's the first time each of them have 1 disciple of their own.
Seems like it's something which just got buried and wasn't given attention.

And the way they get their disciples is quite interesting too; 3 Princes who are arrogant challenge them to a duel,

Nearing the end of volume 9 of Journey to the West, and I'm slowly inching towards the finish line, given it's a 10 volume series.

One thing that surprised me in this volume is the fact that WuKong (Monkey King), Bajie (Pigsy), WuJing (Sandy), themselves all took disciples.
Them 3 are iconic for

even go as far as to say he literally carries the entire novel despite not being the main character (which is a not well known fact; JTTW's main character is Tripitaka).

Things are going slow, but I'm looking forward to going through the remaining 50 chapters.

Tripitaka", I think the book's vast & variety of really engaging characters with unique personalities and great locations prevents me from getting tired of the story.

And out of all the characters despite there being several great ones, WuKong's character I do think is best out of them all.

Finished Chapter 50 (out of 100 Chapters total) with my 10 volumes novel Journey to the West, so I'm exactly halfway finished.

I've been enjoying the novel immensely.
While the constant trope of the storyline falls under "Tripitaka gets captured by a demon" then "Wukong, Pigsy & Sandy rescue

adaptations of JTTW will continue.

I think with my speed of taking things slow, I'll probably finish reading the complete novel around about January.

Which is fine.
It's gonna be a great journey, lol.

Only side which is shown is his mischevousness which is merely one side of Wukong's character.

And as long as these people in entertainment don't understand the book and complexity of Wukong and other characters, I'd imagine these mediocre

With the 10 volumes of the novel Journey to the West, I've been reading a chapter per day. While it's a slow process, it's been and still is very enjoyable.
Just finished volume 4 yesterday and I'm quite surprised how much of a smart & philosophical character Sun WuKong (the Monkey King) is.

Also, the whole hand drawn quality of animation, there's just far more compelling side to it for me in terms of pleasing to the eyes I guess; though this is my personal tastes lol.

Yeah, I'll really need to be pretty vigilant in the whole vetting process in terms of who I follow or don't; even stricter than twitter I'd assume.

That made me think that twitter just became far too big for its own good (where it got infiltrated by bots).
But I'll see how this platform deals with the filtering between bots accounts and genuine accounts.

Growing of the platform is fine, but one thing I hope which never comes is the whole porn-bots accounts which I could never get rid of in twitter.
They were literally like cockroach on steroids, that despite me blocking and blocking just kept on popping up which just ended with me giving up.

may deal with them (such as Greek Mythology etc) but I just feel due to Bluesky still in its infancy there just isn't enough, if any accounts yet.

Oh well. It is what it is.

And I'm trying to really change things up in terms of following accounts with this platform, cause I feel I made a lot of mistakes with twitter.

But I feel it's gonna take a lot of time for this platform to really grow.
