No argument with anything in your article. But. 1. People may have seen HTML which in its basic form is human writable markup. And 2. that comes out of SGML which no one knows about. But in science 3. TeX / LaTeX is used a lot, and that's again a totally human-writable markup system. History....

If it's the Rampal version then it's an adaptation at the suggestion of the composer. And nothing is ever "just" something. Rampal did a good amount of adapting for the different range, and wrote a completely different cadenza which has its own charm.
