In the end, Germany is a country obsessed with selection in education (@mafaalani.bsky.social termed this "Selektionswut" - selection-rage), but if all this selection does not enter sociological education measures, the resulting inequalities also "disappear". CASMIN is better for Germany than ISCED.

It's not - the tautological character just does not show in the figure.

... ESS (then round 1-2) data, which puzzled me so much as to motivate my dissertation. ES-ISCED was constructed to avoid just that, but if you aggregate this in the same way as ISCED, I would not expect any "better" results.

We are looking for a consultant to provide us with expert advice on our employment questions in self-completion surveys.

Up to €10,000 is available for a consultant to help us in a review of employment items with high nonresponse.

The deadline for applications is Friday 23 July.

Und erst recht nicht, dass demographischer Wandel u Investitionen in Bildung politisch nicht zusammen gedacht werden.

Bundestagswahl: Zukunft können wir uns gerade nicht leisten Selten war ein Wahlkampf so von einer Umverteilung von Jung nach Alt geprägt wie dieser. Die Jugend soll für die Absicherung der Alten zahlen, egal, wie teuer es wird.

Wow, that's so much. Congratulations! How many hours do you work, may I ask, on research? I am happy if I manage to submit 1 paper per year, spending less than 5h/week on average on research. I have the same wish for every new year, including 2025.
