We say goodbye to actor, filmmaker and activist Rob Reiner.
A dedicated storyteller with sincerity that imbued his prolific work and the causes he believed in, Reiner’s heartfelt portrayal of the human condition reminds us of the power of film and its abilities to stay with us.
What a horrible weekend for humanity.

This is a film I like to watch every year around Valentine’s Day. It’s dramatic, funny, witty, sophisticated, and above all, romantic. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Director Frank Borzage was THE master romanticist in Hollywood in that era.
14.02.2025 23:21 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It wasn’t actually a WB tie-in although there were some WB and RKO (which they own) titles included. I really wanted to represent as many studios as possible and in the end, we got nine! 8 of the 20 films were also TCM premieres.
12.02.2025 02:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I don't know if it was a tie-in, but it was programmed by @jtarnold.bsky.social and he picked a wonderful assortment of off-the-radar stuff; I'd love a Part Two! My favorite was Passport to Destiny, a great role for Elsa Lanchester. TCM did a Letterboxd list: letterboxd.com/tcm_lb/list/...
