Hi! I post my photos here. I mainly like to photograph things like nature, macros of mushrooms, plants and sometimes landscapes or whatever I come across that I find photogenic. :3

Some old-time-y looking landscape photos I took yesterday.
the clouds where really pretty and dramatic that day.

the only exception is maybe HDR and focus stacking, but maybe I should get rid of that too.
Especially since on Linux there just aren't any good tools for that (at least that I can figure out)
just got a video recommended on yt with the title
"if you don't use ai in your photography, you're missing out"
uhh no
honestly, I don't even edit my digital photos much in general anymore, because I wanna get better at composing my images and not fix my mistakes or whatever all the time.
and some more, idk.

the colors can get a bit wonky at times, when underexposing, but it has charm.

got my next load of film scans.
Same type of film like last time (Harman)
I think most of them turned out much nicer then last time, now that I figured out how to expose them correctly.

I'm looking into micro 4/3 cameras.
They got such good lens options and the more compact size is very intriguing
also I'm particularly curious about lens adapters. like speedboosters, tild-shift and vintage lens adapters. π
I should probably learn how to do my own color grading...

Here are some photos of tulip magnolia's around here.
and I tried some different color grading this time. At first I wanted to go with warm colors, but then I found this cool Fujifilm LUT that looked interesting.

yea, I decided to send it back.
If I didn't already have the sigma 105mm macro I might have kept it.
maybe if it had some vintage-charm. But I don't really see it. it looks too clean and modern in some places and has lots of issues in other places.
I discovered another problem. *sign*
When I step down a big orange hotspot appears and worsens the contrast.
this lens has so many issues, it's getting difficult to justify.
like yea, it's still cheaper then the Samyang, but man... idk...
after a couple test shots tho. the image quality is very good. even with high contrast-y situation I barely noticed chromatic aberration and it is very sharp.
Only issue I noticed that the top-half of the image gets darker when shot with very high shutter speeds (>1/2000) so not a sport lens.
Another thing I noticed is that the focus ring turns very badly. it feels like it is glued in place or something and turning it feels like I almost rip the lens off the camera with that flimsy mount. not great. :c
31.05.2025 11:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The 135mm lens arrived today and I must say, first impression wasn't very good. At first I got scared I got the wrong lens-mount, but it does fit, it just looks weirdly small.
I'm a little scared it will scratch or damage my camera over time tbh
Why is it so hard to find modern ~200mm prime lenses?
Why is there a gap between 135 to 300mm when looking for prime lenses?
yes, there are zoom lenses that cover that focal range, but not prime. whyyy?
There are some vintage 200mm prime lenses, but they don't make modern ones for some reason.
*seemed to have ignored
aaa let me edit my posts, Bluesky!
I received my scans a few days ago and they basically seemed have to ignored all my requests. The scans where just standard resolution and JPEG.
So now I send an e-mail asking what I was supposed to do to get my scans in the quality I want them. Maybe I did it wrong. I think its poorly explained.
They are tearing down an old house not too far from where I live. Thought it looks cool. I took lot of photos and some videos too.

But it just seems weird to me, that the resolution of the scan is price-wise the same.
If they cost the same, I would be stupid not to go with the highest resolution they offer.
...the envelope but I still payed for the standard quality.
I just assume it doesn't cost extra.
next film is send for development to Fotoimpex.
This time I try out their scanning service. I picked highest quality and TIFF format.
What I'm curious about is, if that costs extra that the scan is HQ and not standard, because I can't directly buy it, I just have to write the article number on...
I made some Hefezopf (braided sweet yeast bread) with shaved almonds and raises.
The braid part didn't turn out so well, it just looks like a blob. But everything else turned out great, already tried a slice with some butter.

photo of a pedestrian subway tunnel. the wall on the right is wavy and made of glass bricks illuminated with rainbow colors from behind. at the end of the tunnel is some white smoke going up the ceiling.
Here it is
it really struggled focusing when the smoke was still there.
Should have switched to manual focus, but oh well. I still got some smoke left which I guess add something, maybe, idk...

A photograph of night scene of an empty street next to a railroad.
A photograph of an empty railroad station at night illuminated by street lights.
A photograph of a road at night going under a highway. Streetlights all have a bright orange halo around them, almost looking like small suns.
a photograph of a small city skyline of Friedrichshafen at night
My next film got developed and I really like how these turned out.
I used Reto Amber T800 film I bought from Amazon and I really like the colors and how it adds this sorta orange glow around light sources.
