Every Pa. lawmaker in U.S. House votes to release Jeffrey Epstein records after Trump’s reversal
Pennsylvania lawmakers from both sides of the aisle supported the release of the Epstein files after Republicans initially tried to avoid taking a vote on the matter.
Rep. Rob Bresnahan was hesitant to answer whether any of the mentions of Trump concern him.
“I saw some of the email threads; a lot of it was snippet. I don’t know where it came from,” said Bresnahan, who represents a swing district.
“I want to look at the whole comprehensive picture,” he added.

Dave McCormick says John Fetterman will ‘probably’ leave hospital Saturday as GOP floods the Democrat with well wishes
Dave McCormick, Karoline Leavitt and Mehmet Oz were among those sending good vibes to the Democratic senator after he was hospitalized this week after a heart issue caused him to fall.
Dave McCormick said John Fetterman will "probably" leave the hospital tomorrow AM, saying he's a "force of good ... common sense vote."
GOP leaders have flooded Fetterman with well wishes as he recovers, but his Democratic colleagues haven't necessarily been as enthusiastic (at least publicly).

Why did Jack Ciattarelli do so much worse than everyone expected? These N.J. Republicans have some theories.
Democrat Mikie Sherrill won the New Jersey governor's race by more than 13 points.
Jack Ciattarelli did so much worse than everyone expected -- it wasn't just Republicans. The chair of the DNC told me just days before the election he expected a close race. Experts said both candidates had a plausible path.
Obvi, Trump was at play -- here's what else Republicans think happened.

Jack Ciattarelli is betting on a red wave in South Jersey. Will that be enough to win?
Jack Ciattarelli has been working to convince South Jersey voters that he’s different — and he needs them to beat Mikie Sherrill in the governor's race on Nov. 4.
“Here’s one of the big differences between me and my opponent: I know where the hell Hammonton is."
It’s one of Jack Ciattarelli's signature lines of attack against Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill.
Ciattarelli needs South Jersey voters to win the election. Will they push him to victory?

NJ gubernatorial hopefuls rely on a small slice of the state for cash
Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciattarelli have disproportionately relied on contributions from the state’s wealthiest zip codes, an analysis shows.
While Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill have offered contrasting visions for New Jersey's future, the gubernatorial candidates have relied mostly on the same sorts of places to raise the vast majority of their funds, w/ @aliyareports.bsky.social www.inquirer.com/politics/ele...

“People move from all over the country to New Jersey because it’s known as a safe haven for LGBTQ rights,” said L.B., who is using her initials to protect her child’s privacy. “And now, if Jack Ciattarelli wins, it could become a state that people have to flee from.” #NJGov

How gender is playing out in the race for New Jersey governor
Democrat Mikie Sherrill has maintain a significant advantage with women, but Republican Jack Ciattarelli appears to be solidifying support with men as November approaches.
Women are key to Mikie Sherrill’s lead in the race, but it’s not necessarily because she’s a woman.
Also: Her strong performance with women has been consistent throughout Quinnipiac's recent polls, but Ciattarelli may be solidifying & growing support with men.

Tight N.J. governor’s race attracts record out-of-state spending
Mikie Sherrill, Jack Ciattarelli and primary candidates have spent nearly $200 million as the race for New Jersey governor enters its final weeks.

Who this GOP group wants — and doesn’t want — to see its N.J. governor’s race ads
A pro-Ciattarelli super PAC excluded disproportionately nonwhite areas from its YouTube attack ads on Mikie Sherrill except for a recent push in Passaic County.
Both parties in NJ's gubernatorial election say they need non-white voters. Yet for over a month, a GOP super PAC's ads excluded the state's most diverse areas. What a recent shift in its advertising says about the state of the race, w/ @aliyareports.bsky.social www.inquirer.com/politics/new...

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who is running for governor, was arrested at a newly opened immigration detention center in his city.
All of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka’s primary opponents came to his defense Friday after the Democratic candidate for New Jersey governor was arrested at Delaney Hall, a newly opened ICE detention center in Newark.
Republicans in the race took his arrest as an opportunity to go on offense.

Mikie Sherrill sponsored the TikTok ban. Now she’s on the app. Here’s why.
U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill has embraced influencers, Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok in the NJ governor's race.
Sherrill has stood out among the candidates in the crowded Democratic primary for teaming up with influencers and content creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and even Substack. She also hosted an “Ask me anything” session on Reddit. But it wasn’t until recently that she got on TikTok herself.

All six candidates in the primary race have a path toward victory.
With five weeks until New Jersey’s June 10 primary and voters already returning mail ballots, all six candidates have a path to securing the Democratic nomination.
