Green Heron holding on to a branch as his head is near the water, upside down. He is "fishing."

#birds Green herons can "fish". They will drop things in the water, causing minnows to swim near the surface, giving them a chance to nab them. This Green Heron did this for about a half hour in a rather gymnastic way today. Sherburne NWR.
