It baffles me the solutions we decline to choose, especially when local communities *and* houses of worship *and* people in need of housing all lobbied for the bill to pass.

The law would require faith-based housing meet the same requirements as NYC's Mandatory Inclusionary Housing program. Outside NYC, at least 20% of units would need to be affordable.

Sadly the legislature missed out on a chance to create a huge amount of new affordable housing.
