Almost 2 years ago now, I played Skyrim, not the first time, but yeah. And that was the game that introduced me to the Elder Scrolls. Months later, I wanted more, so I played Oblivion, then Morrowind, and I loved both of those games as well.

One thing with Morrowind's map design I particularly like, and I wish to replicate in an RPG, is that with the settlements; there's the few major cities, sure, but there are also plenty of smaller villages, meaning it's a more even distribution to the population.

For example, pre-Oblivion Cyrodiil was supposed to be more tropical, with Nibenay in particular having more of a jungle environment.

I also really appreciate the dedication that the people who are developing the Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel mods go, in showing what the world outside Vvardenfell is like, based on Morrowind-era lore, before it got retconned in later installments.

I think I have mentioned before that Elder Scrolls lore is one of the things that I'll passionately talk about at length. Sure, the games aren't perfect, but it's one of my all-time favorite franchises.

Mostly saying this because I've been playing a lot of Morrowind recently :)
