The thing that feels like a giant red flag to me (I say this as someone who wants to be optimistic about all of this) is “we are also introducing Noisy Creek’s event discovery platform, EverOut, as well as entertainment ticketing service Bold Type Tickets to Chicago.” That just has all the ick.

And WeTransfer has walked this back somwhat.

So in case you hadn't seen it, WeTransfer updated their Terms of Service to include a clause that gives them "a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable license to use your Content". Which, if you do what I do for a living, makes it completely unusable.
