I'm so so sorry you were fired. That is terribly unfair. Is there any way we can help? Also, we are waiting desperately on a non-competing continuation NoA for a grant that has some diversity language in the context of K-5 education. Do you know if they were going to cancel such grantsβ can you DM?

Thank you, that is helpful to hear and I sincerely appreciate it!

No, we completed the prior project period and spent the budget as of 1/31 (planned project end date). Thanks so much for your response and any guidance you can offer!

Thanks for posting. This is good news, and Iβve seen the key word βactiveβ in a few comments like this. What about a pending non-competing continuation; so no βactiveβ award because the prior project budget period lapsed and the new one hasnβt started yet?

Understood. He did a very brave thing, and hopefully got the wheels moving, weβll see. So hard to say from the outside, but we are very grateful for all NIH and GMS staff, of course!

Have you heard that GMSs are afraid to push out NoAs (new, or continuations?) even after Wednesdayβs memo? We are waiting on a continuation that was on the verge of issuing before 1/27, and canβt tell if GMS will now get those out or delay?

I was thinking about emailing todayβ¦ do you recommend it? This is my first time doing any work with NIH and still trying to figure out whatβs appropriate / welcomed vs. might annoy people.

Thanks. We are NIGMS. It seems like there are various sources around the internet corroborating the right type of movement alongside the memo which makes me hope itβs legitimate, although I know it may only matter to specific scenarios like ours. As with everythingβ¦ weβll see

Thanks for doing the research and posting. Any idea when we would expect to see new awards considering that the memo is only from yesterday? We are waiting on an SBIR fast-track non-competing continuation application for Phase II.
