A 3rd kit joins the shop this week! An old kit in a new form, this little O&K style loco. The 1st version was made for the minitrix 060 chassis. Now, this new version replaces that for (who guessed) the ever classic Kato 109! 😂👍

It is a shame because I thought it was a final print, hence why I printed in multi-filament, and it did take 4 hours to print XD

Technically it could work, there are some print errors but the drive wheels cover it. But there are issues with the design that make it not completely fit for purpose. Unfortunately it will be chucked. I've tried holding onto old prototypes of models and I have lost many drawers to it XD

Progress has been slow these last few days. Over the past weeks I had tons of motivation and energy that I poured into my work, and now I've burnt out. Top that off with not a lot of notable progress to share, and my secret project in the background, there isn't as much to post as I would like.

I know it’s difficult right now, but I insist that you seek and enjoy beautiful things, even if it seems frivolous or irresponsible in the face of overwhelming horror. I want you to feed yourself artistically, spiritually, and literally, because you can’t Do The Work when you’re starving.

A side shot of my printed Rocket locomotive, it is printed in black with a brown 'wooden' boiler. It does not currently have extra details like pipes or a buffer beam as these will be added to the final body. It is also using some temporary green drive wheels because I want to save the black ones for final assembly. As to not wear out the bushings of the wheels from constant removal. The trailing wheelset on the locomotive are made from plastic as finding wheels of the correct size was a nightmare. Fortunately I will wire the locomotive to pick up power from the tender. The tender is in all brown with standard rolling stock metal wheels.

The Rocket with a small coreless motor, with a worm gear attached, sat in front view of the camera. This motor will be put into the motor when it is time to wire it up.

Here's some progress on my #3Dprinted Rocket locomotive. The bodyshell has been done but Its still got issues and I'm not happy with it, so I'm going to reprint it. Once that's done I can focus on wiring it up and it should run (fingers crossed). #modelrailway #00gauge

I have a new kit for the shop! This is Albert. (Or my version at least). He's based on the Rev. Awdry's own Albert Mk2 from his Mid Sodor layout. I've tried to capture the essence of the original in my own little tramway version, I think I got pretty close! 😁

Oxford Rail are back with two massive new locomotive announcements! 🚂 It is amazing to see a high spec Caledonian Pug and the legendary GWR Aberdare class joining the range. Fantastic work by the Oxford team - l especially seeing such a famous Welsh coal workhorse get the RTR treatment! 🙌 #ModelRail

They should receive the same fate as all the Hogwarts express trains, bought second hand for cheap and quickly resprayed to hide their sins. If only to save on landfill XD
