Oh, I know this guy. Obsessed with Catholic Cartoons from before Vatican II that for some reason never show a person smiling.

Drew myself drawing a little engine that could for my part of our Jesuit Volunteer Collage.

Right now, I’m on a no-WiFi-allowed orientation retreat at a summer camp in Oregon for my position at L’Arche, Spokane. So I won’t be able to respond to any messages unless I’m in the one part of the camp that has a signal. So peace out everyone.

When are these f*ckers going to learn that “America First” originates in trying to keep Catholic immigrants out of the country?

Anyway, if Mumfie ever got captured by the Nazis, I can only imagine this is how he'd take it. He is just too pure for this world ❤️

I don't know how much of Britt Allcroft's Mumfie adaptation is faithful to the books, which seem to have been out of print for decades and are only available on used book sites. But I was not expecting Hitler to be in one of them.

Okay, so apparently the book series my source material for this YTP was based on has a volume where Mumfie and Scarecrow fight in WWII and capture Hitler.

Visited Urich Locomotive Works in Strasburg, CO today. If you know of any amusement park in America that runs live steam engines, from Tiny Town to Disneyland, chances are some part of them comes from this place. It’s one of the last live steam foundries left in the US.

They can't even lip sync it right!

When I was a kid I was so upset that they gave James from Team Rocket the same name as me that I wrote a letter to Highlights Magazine and they responded. I still have the clipping but idk where. Basically they said I am not him and look to good people named James, like the inventor of basketball.

When I heard about this I thought it would look bad, but I had no idea how absolutely dog shit it would be. Truly horrendous. It is the cinematic equivalent of that lady who painted over that 19th century Jesus portrait and destroyed it.
