Then, by divine grace, he was resurrected.

Wanted to share this great, great photo from the Chicago Tribune, taken September 19 at the ICE detention facility in Broadview IL, outside Chicago. Protesters there have been tear gassed and shot with pepper balls. An ICE goon threw a Dem House candidate on the ground (she’s a little tiny thing).

This was a great interview about a great story.

Asking authors to sing their own praises is an ingenious strategy. The answer Evans gave you was one of several places in the interview that made me laugh out loud.

Fucking finally. Fight back against the bullshit framing that tries to make Dems responsible for everything.

The GOP is *choosing* to create this kind of societal environment. They could stop it at any time. They have agency as well.

This is a great story--not a wasted word, and its naturalistic dialogue coveys so much about the characters' shared history. The story the two of them discuss is, and is not, _their_ story.

Nope. The exact opposite. I wish for Trump to fail BECAUSE I wish for America to succeed. What Trump is doing - his stupid tariffs, his cruel deportations, his traitorous siding with Putin - will all hurt America. I don’t want to hurt America. So of course I want Trump to fail.

Trump couldn’t get a deal with Putin (duh).

Anyways, here’s Obama with his Nobel Peace Prize.

The huge Wal-Mart a couple of miles from my house in upstate NY has one.

That Kevin Wilson book is great.

Also, I really enjoyed Lindsay Hunter's Eat Only When You're Hungry (& sent her an email to say so); I haven't read her newer stuff yet.

I see the story of this secret meeting between Vance and Murdoch is finally getting some traction.

In new CBS poll Trump clocks in at an ugly 42%-58% (-16). This is a 22!!!!!!! point drop from early February when he came in at 53%-47% in this poll. Six months in the American people are not buying what he's selling. 1/
