I know they mean well. I love them all. It’s just making my decision a lot more harder.

He’s not the bad guy that everyone wants him to be, but listening to them can distort everything and convince me that he is. Can make me doubt his feelings, make his doubt his word, make me doubt his actions. Can make me defensive when he makes me soft. How can something so good be so bad?

Everyone is telling me choose what’s best for me, but if I choose him I’m wrong because they know what’s best for me and it’s not him. It only pulls me closer because while they’re filling me with doubt, he is addressing every single one with assurance and patience.

I’ve recently learned first hand that listening to others opinions can definitely cast doubt on your relationship. Being told by others what you deserve, what’s they think is best for you, what you should choose, and what you don’t want to do can make you question if you’re loving the right one.
