Since everyone's talking about the designs of the precon, I thought I'd throw in my 0.02.

As someone who likes to spin the wheel to decide my commanders, I like that I can choose between 5 options. Designs could be more inspiring, but having so many options is right up my alley.

It feels like they're pushing UB sets harder than in-universe. It kinda makes sense, considering it's what draws people in. But for the love of pizza, can in-universe get some more love? Ironic that, I, a UB fan, is saying this.

So, following my post from yesterday. I have no idea how it came to be, but diving into Rakdos triggered a deckbuilding rush I've not felt in many years. This is what I have now (and a fifth is soon to come.

I'll see if I can start making new posts more frequently going forward, mostly MTG-related content.

I'll kick things off by saying that this has been a week of much deliberation. Right now, I mention in my EDHREC bio that I'm a Naya player, but I wonder if I'm either Rakdos or Jund instead.

This actually made me think back to my own color identity. I long thought I was Temur or Naya, but a lot of my deckbuilding history featured Rakdos in some capacity. Maybe Jund, or perhaps Mardu. I also know blue is my weakest color, but I knew that for ages.

As a UB fan, and someone who wrote up much on it, I'm tired. Too much at once, and it doesn't help that the anti-UB sentiment has hit TWD levels. It's too much all at once.

That can't be a coincidence. Sounds like he hired this shooter to help distract from the Files and boost his ratings.

Go look at yourself in the mirror. At least "Libs" don't advocate for shooting up people.

Enough. It's MAGA that's causing all of this, and chances are, you can't see it. You may not value others' lives, but I, George, and others, value yours. So, please, do me a favor, and look at yourself in the mirror.

I built an identical version (14/Rose (or Clara), all-WHO cards). Even featured it in an article (fun write up, that). It's awesome to play, so I'm glad to see it get more love.

I just noticed that Final Fantasy's on there. Heresy!

Honestly, I can't take this poll seriously. Some comments pointed out recency bias. Spiderman isn't even out yet, and it's on here.

Also, as someone who writes up articles on UB, I'm counting down to the day when I get mobbed.

I saw that. It annoyed me, too, but the lists on Archideckt will have the FF versions. I made sure of that when I made the lsits

Idk how much worse it'll be than the FF drops, but I imagine still bad. I remember having anxiety attacks over them (because they were critical to my plans with the set).

I have to miss out on this drop since I'm out hiking, but I'm not worried. That money's going towards finishing the bonus sheet.

Even if they tried to provoke violence, and they gets their coveted martial law, that 3.5% will spike. It'd spell doom to the entire regime.

Miller or no, they'd be foolish to try. 3.5+% of the population protested yesterday. Idk how many ICE agents are out there, but they'd end up spreading too thin. Coupling this to raiding densely populated areas, it's going to backfire.

Also worth nothing that this is digital only-no word on paper versions yet, if at all. There's some irony there at least.

Even as a UB connoisseur, I never got behind the decision for the line to be standard legal, and now it's going to be a headache to go through Scryfall for UB cards to use.

I've been thinking this as well. Idk where'd I go yet, but leaving has been constantly on my mind.

That said, this is also saying that circus won, so it's a very bad fight or flight situation.

I'd roll my eyes, but if that's what it'll take, so be it.

It's a start, and it does help when making new decks because of the newfound clarity.

However, the decks I made yesterday beg to differ. They're mono-color decks featuring my favorite cards, helmed by the Muraganda 5 (the vanilla cycle). I run a few game changers, and now they're automatically 3s?

The Final Day of the Advent Calendar ensures things go with a bang...but nothing that wows me. A balance of both. And that concludes the Advent Calendar of 2024. I'm definitely learned some lessons, and I'll be applying them next year. Happy Holidays!

Day 23 is similar to yesterday's. I sure hope the finale's a banger.

With Day 22 comes the home stretch, and things look like they'll end on a whimper.

Day 20 is meh. Nothing special here, and perhaps rightly so after yesterday's pull.

Day 19 has *quite* the prize indeed.

Day 18 yields one card with noting yet again. Still nice to see, though.
