My headcanon has been as the Alliance command insignia is derived from the Alderaanian Civil Fleet and he's first and foremost that he's maybe a commodore or fleet captain and the Alderaanian ranks aren't necessarily 1:1 with the Rebel ones as a whole

Ah excellent I shall go hunting for it. And that is a shame, with the R1 sourcebook stating it was for army I was hoping to see more, hoping red might instead be Alliance SpecOps/maybe Starfighter Corps (but there always seems to be a mix of red and blue there)
