So my husband hooked up our VPN. I uninstalled and reinstalled tik Tok on the VPN. It works for me. But it really is a ghost town. It's really really a sad day there #tiktokus #tiktokban

It was so difficult this morning to get up and not do my daily scroll. I feel like I've just been cut off from the rest of the world #tiktokban

Trying to remind myself not to mindlessly open the TikTok app every three minutes only to be shown the stupid “not available” message. I should do other, more productive things, like open this app where I can see hundreds of people posting screenshots of that same message.

The US banned TikTok because it has been, by far, the most important resource the people of Gaza have had for getting out the truth about what was being done to them with US weapons.

Like even my sense of doom about it has lifted cuz it's all just one big plot to distract us and undermine us again. We can't let it work this time
