Observing the anti-AI backlash as someone who has spent any amount of time trying to get people to stop funding animal agriculture is… interesting. So many of the criticism/ about emissions and water use ring a bit hollow when you’ve seen people hand-wave that away for years when it benefited them.

5 PLANT-BASED PROTEIN SOURCES

Soy Chunks (TVP)
β€’	Extremely cheap and flexible, use them how you would chicken pieces or tofu. Great in curry, pasta dishes, and stir fries.
	β€’	50g per 100g

Lentils
β€’	A cheap, nutritional powerhouse. They’re also very flexible, you can have them as your main protein source of a meal, or use them in place of minced meat.
	β€’	25.8g per 100g

Chickpeas
β€’	Use them to make hummus or falafel, as the main protein source of a curry, on their own with rice or worked into a salad. You can also just air fry/grill them with some oil and spices for a crunchy snack.
	β€’	20g per 100g

Seitan
β€’	Seitan is a staple in plant-based cooking because it is so easy to work with and soaks up the flavour of whatever you put in it. Try it as the main part of a meal, or to replace chicken or beef.
	β€’	25g per 100g

Nuts
β€’	All nuts are high in protein, the humble peanut is the protein per 100g listed below. Great as a high-protein snack, and nut butter can be incorporated into a shake or porridge to add extra nutrients.
	β€’	26g per 100g

I, heroically, do not have a problem with vegans so long as they don’t stand up for animals, criticise anything I do or attempt to disrupt my access to cheeseburgers in any way.

This is very big of me actually.

DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FDA, which oversees Neuralink

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

Infographic listing the following facts:

01 Animal Deaths: To satisfy our appetite for animal products, we slaughter 900k cows, 1.4m goats, 1.7m sheep, 3.8m pigs, 12m ducks, 202m chickens, and hundreds of millions of fish every single day.

02 Emissions: Animal agriculture is responsible for at least 11% of GHG emissions according to the FAO, with some estimates suggesting as high as 17% of global emissions.

03 Land Use: We use roughly half of global habitable land for agriculture, and more than 3/4 of that agricultural land is used to feed and graze livestock.

04 Water Use: Meat and dairy are responsible for approximately 30–40% of agriculture’s water demands, despite providing only 18% of the world’s calories.

05 Deforestation: The expansion of pasture land for cattle was responsible for 41% of tropical deforestation. Most came from Brazil, where 72% of deforestation is driven by cattle ranching.

Many great thinkers have realised the deep moral significance of the subjective.

Tragically, most have failed to realise that the vast majority of subjective perspectives are not human.

Other sentient beings exist. They matter too.

Do you think you live on a different planet, which climate breakdown does not affect?
Do you imagine only greens and progressives will be harmed by Earth systems collapse?
Do you believe you can win an argument with physics?

Vegan plastic is terrible you guys. Not like regular non-vegan plastic that covers most of your food, is in all of your clothes, your electronics, your shoes, and saturates pretty much every aspect of your life as a consumer… It’s a totally different plastic and it’s Worse and it’s all their fault.

Impossible and beyond are far too expensive to treat as replacements to your current staples, they’re very much treats. You just need an alternative protein - lentils, chickpeas, beans etc are dirt cheap and far better for you. Tofu also makes an excellent substitute for chicken and fish.
