Thank you from The Netherlands. I started following your account half a year ago because a speech you gave clicked with me, and since then you’ve been an important source of information for what is happening in the USA. The passion with which you do what needs to be done…

I have a very bad feeling about this...

I invite all the cold-hearted, selfish Christian Nationalists in the Trump administration and Congress to point to the scripture wherein Jesus told them to withhold from the poor, needy, and hungry so they had more money to give instead to Herod's $300,000,000 golden ballroom. I'll wait.

So what? I don’t think he’s a bad president because he’s old, I think he’s bad because he’s a narcissistic sociopath.

Sure there were a lot of people, but the coverage about it fell so flat. I kept checking the No Kings website and it was all livestreams of speeches. Hardly anything showing the crowds, and always the same pics and vids everywhere. And so little on any social media. It all looks and feels numb.

Well, that was disappointing. Not unexpected, but still… I guess citizens of the US don’t mind Trump as much as I hoped they would.

I didn’t get it until I said it out loud in my head 🤦‍♀️
(Which made me realize that for me reading in English works differently from reading in my native language.)

I agree with all except any and all reference to what the man looks like. I don’t care about how much he weighs, about his spray-tan or his comb-over. I don’t even care if he’s crapped himself at some point. The only things I care about are his actions and intentions. And those are horrid.

I get that. Also, it’s getting increasingly more difficult to check his “truth” “social” account. Loads of commercials and very often I get a warning for scrolling to fast and/or being “unauthorized”. Makes it difficult to check at the source so to speak. Also, it makes me sick, so there’s that…

Not everyone reacting here is from the USA. I’m Dutch and follow Mark, and most of the time I get his references, but I missed this one and didn’t know where to go looking. A friendly person here in the comments took pity on me and kindly explained. That’s nicer than rolling eyes at “ignorance”.
