Final one
10. The atmosphere - which comes from the above. My favourite part was when they scored their 3rd and there was spontaneous and continued applause. Not wild cheering but just real respect & love for what the players tried & nearly did.
Oh and shout out for the free hot dog at the end!

            9. Finally & most importantly, Ange. The high line, the never say die attitude, the football... Remember Conte v Milan subbing Deki for Sanchez! But his refusal to get involved in referee criticism is even better. What alchemy is it that I feel so positive after losing badly to Chelsea.

            8. VAR. I don't want to make it about VAR but the in stadium experience was awful. Standing around not knowing what to think, not being able to celebrate goals. I also think, more importantly for the outcome, that it cost us momentum. Surely the stop/ start nature didn't help VdV's hamstrings either

            6. Vicario was unbelievable. Saves, sweeping, his passion. He is a real gem.
7. Dier, Emerson and Hojbjerg deserve a lot of praise. Dier's First minutes of the season and the others in multiple and unfamiliar positions. Shows we have a good attitude in the squad and will be needed now

            3. The red cards were deserved and very disappointing. Especially as they both had it coming. It was always going to be so hard from there.
4. The high line. Wow. Unbelievable and they really struggled to deal with it.
5. We could have drawn or even won it. We had good chances with 9.

            2. We let them back into it. Both with sloppy passing and be drawn into the game they wanted. They tried to wind us up and stop us playing and it worked. We needed cooler heads and potentially the ref to pull up some of the fouling (especially on maddison). This isn't about the ref though.

Some thoughts on last night. I was there and have never seen anything like it.
1. We started so well. We can often be slow out of the blocks but we looked so fluid and incisive. If Son's goal was onside I think we go on and win it very easily.
