Speaking of the operator's word, should past bad actor behavior factor into future permitting? How about the billions of dollars in unmet closure obligations the oil and gas sector is passing on to taxpayers? In Matt Y's understanding of "benefits to the economy," do those costs remain externalized?

For example, let's say a recent agency order approving a plan to drill & produce 150+ wells instructs the operator to "use electricity to power all operations through the drilling and production phases at all locations within [the planned area]." Who enforces? Do we take the operator's word for it?

Still, let's say you succeed in convincing the regulator to mandate electrification or apply a lot of BMPs to improve safety/enviro + public health. Are there strong oversight and reporting requirements in place to ensure any of those are implemented?

Ok. I have advocated for these seemingly-anodyne measures, and hear resistance about defining terms, costs, feasibility, and more.

I don't think he said/intended it as a "grieving death film" either, I was just sharing that's what he said was happening in his life 🤷🏽‍♀️ maybe this is just a story and for people who want commentary it isn't successful

Cregger has said he wasn't thinking about school shootings when he wrote the film, and the idea originated as he was grieving his friend's death. So I don't think he was even intending to "make a school shooting movie."
