I really love a light source and other artist's abilities to make the viewer feel emersed in a time and place. So I'm playing with colors and glow a bit rather than working completely flat. (I still love experimenting, learning and changing)

I have some breathing room between events and have a bunch of things I want to finish and start. But here is a little warm up color practice of a faun

Hahaha thank you so much, I sketch and ink traditionally and the paper ranges in size 9x12 is usually on the smaller size and 11x14 or 11x17 are my favorite (a lot of times I tape a bunch of paper together 😆 I get too excited when sketching and want to add more) so this one is 9x24

Here is the other color version. When I think about pieces I am drawn too, I love a muted color pallet. I piece that looks like it's had a life, bleached by sun and time. The colors also remind me of the cold winter nights while on a moonlit snowshoe with my family in the forests of Vermont.

Thank you!! 💕It makes me so happy when people say that. I love art nouveau and all the decorative details and being able to brake an image down into geometric shapes with flowing organic elements just clicks perfectly in my brain.

Thank you. I know, it was brutal for me to put it in. But I really like to be able to add little Easter eggs in my pieces (especially fanart, because it means something to the people who know)
