My team and I are installing Walk Your Bike or Scooter decals across Ward 13 to make our sidewalks safer and more accessible for all. These decals help prioritize pedestrian safety, especially in high-traffic areas. Thank you to everyone for sharing their input on where to install these decals.

As part of our In The Ward series, my team and I walked through Cabbagetown, noting issues like broken stairs at Wellesley Park, missing sidewalks on Sackville, and appreciated bike path inserts at Riverdale Park West. And thank you to city staff for keeping our water parks clean during the heat!

With Old City Hall's doors now open to the public, events like Toronto Treasures showcase the beauty and history of this iconic building.

Appointment of Toronto’s New Medical Officer of Health I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Michelle Murti as Toronto’s new Medical Officer of Health. Her dedication to community-centred public health, her advocacy for vulnerable populations and her proven leadership during complex public health emergencies position her well to guide Toronto through today’s health challenges. I look forward to working with Dr. Murti to fully implement the Toronto Public Health Strategic Plan and improve population health outcomes across priority areas using a health equity approach.

Today, we celebrated the Centre of Excellence soft launch! This centre represents a collaborative effort to provide vital resources, support services, and opportunities for residents of all ages. And I can’t wait for the grand community celebration this fall to officially mark the Centre's opening.

Today, we celebrate the official opening of Louis March Park. This park will serve as a place for connection, healing, and growth for generations to come. Thank you to the Mothers of Peace, the Zero Gun Violence Movement, Louis's family, and the entire community for making this tribute a reality.

I’m glad to have visited our LEAP INTO LITERACY SUMMER DAY CAMP at Rose Avenue Jr. Public School, where students are getting the support they need to build confidence and stay on track for future success.

I also recognize and congratulate the Purple Factory on 6 years of excellence in Regent Park. This barbershop has become so much more — a space for mentorship, connection, and community pride.
