A promotional flyer titled “Fix the Bottleneck” features a photo of heavy traffic on a narrow road beneath a rail bridge. The flyer urges residents to help push for widening St. Clair at Old Weston Road. It explains that the current design doesn’t work for drivers, cyclists, or pedestrians. A boxed section lists two actions: attend the Metrolinx open house on December 8, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at St. Clair/Silverthorn Library, and sign a petition at alejandbravo.ca/fix_the_bottleneck. At the bottom right is a photo of a woman smiling in a blazer, labeled as City Councillor Alejandra Bravo, Ward 9 – Davenport. The background uses teal and white design elements.

At the November Toronto and East York Community Council meeting, I introduced resident-supported motions for new traffic-calming on Davenport streets. These measures will help slow drivers and improve safety, especially after the Province removed Ontario’s speed cameras.

You shouldn’t have to take out a loan to see the Blue Jays play in the World Series.

Let's bring back fairness and transparency to ticket sales so that baseball games, FIFA matches, concerts, and other live events are accessible to the people who make them special: the fans.

I checked in with some neighbours who phoned my office because plows still haven’t come.

Even with a big storm, we should be able to count on snow getting cleared—instead, people are doing it themselves.

Good news for arts in Davenport: the City has acquired the 20 affordable homes for artists at 38 Abell St. which were at risk because of the Artscape receivership.

We also announced our investment of $180k to Propeller Gallery, to bring their space into community ownership.

This is the ambition of partnership that Toronto needs from the Ontario government.

Warming centres are closed to new admissions but people are still getting support and transfers to shelters.

I understand there is currently space at the BLC, which is accessible by walk-in, at 129 Peter St, or by calling 1-877-338-3398.

We will continue to monitor.

But, I recognize concerns even with this update, especially on days with snowfall or cold rain.

I will be asking of a review of the warming centre policy in the new year, and for the additional opening hours to be accounted for in the 2025 Budget.

I appreciate the care and concern shown by so many Torontonians with requests to review the warming centre opening policy.

I advocated for change to this policy under the last administration, which now has centres opening at -5° instead of -15°.

There is important work ahead of us: improving service and safety, addressing the state-of-good-repair backlog, and putting riders first.
