october is pedestrian safety month! remember:

- pedestrians are not inherently hostile to cars.
- pedestrians deserve targeted infrastructure improvements.
- pedestrian safety is important to prioritize in projects.
- there is no safe transportation system that is not pedestrian-friendly.
