I don't think I quite vibe with the local publishing avenues in my country. Full-length collection or something.

And even if it was an indie press, some are specifically looking for those who write in any of the country's local languages, which I don't write in.

Saw a post here how we should normalize doing things even in our 30s (and perhaps even further), and all I could add as quote-reshare was that I would like to have my chapbook published one day.

Wish the rest of my family and anyone I know IRL cared for fountain pens, but people always balk at the price even if it's like, less than 200 PHP. And less strain on the wrist, but eh, my parents & my brother hardly use ANY pen anyway. 😅

Already submitted to Small Harbor Editions 😅 around a year ago I think? Got rejected hehehe 😅 I think the fees for a lot of these pubs intimidate me because I honestly don't have money in Paypal and I'm from (eugh, I hate this term) a third world country 🥲 So currency wise, the fees are too much 🥲

ANYWAY! I haven't written any poetry in years and I might have forgotten how :P

Not their fault! I'm just. I supposed I'm used to being presented a form I can just quickly fill up and sign digitally or print out and scan with my signature. And not something that is too vague to my (possibly neurodivergent) mind.

I would have submitted to Gacha Press (local!) but I was really confused about one of their requirements so I didn't. Like, I know why they required it, but I didn't have an idea or a clue on what that requirement is supposed to look like so I was really frustrated.

Somebody I follow who is not in the US has questioned whether it is ethical for him to continue to buy book written by US authors and I'm like . . . most of us are victims of this regime, not supporters. 😥😕

I really just want to find places to submit my chapbook manuscript to, but it's been difficult to find any that I haven't already submitted to (already submitted once to @smallharborpub.bsky.social :P) and doesn't have a fee or complicated submission guidelines.

Got my first rejection for the year! Time to submit to more places :D

I think I'm a little proud of the three little books of poetry I have on my Payhip: payhip.com/kulintang. There's not much to say about either, just that I've collected the poems I've written and published from 2016-2019 in those. And I still have poems that are still not in a collection.
