also, PLEASE for the love of god GF invest in some voice actors. Having fully animated cutscenes with lip flaps and no sound is just crazy man, it's so awkward watching these cutscenes with no vocal audio 😭

- Lumiose itself is also kinda devoid of things to do, and the wild zones feel very tacked on and out of place, and while i'm aware this is addressed in game that doesn't make it justified

- Was skeptical about the whole game taking place in Lumiose, but they made it work.....kind of? Lumiose is just small enough to be compact, but just big enough to make travel a chore without fast travelling.

- supporting cast is fine, however Canari is by far the worst character to ever grace this franchise since Hau and i wanted to strangle her so bad every time she was on screen

- sidequests are in this game but they amount to what is essentially menial busywork. nothing special here folks.

some negatives:

- the main cast is genuinely so whatever, did not give a single fuck about most of them, liked Taunie and Lida at the start and only remotely gave a shit about Naveen by the end.

- the finale was genuinely sick as fuck

- the music goes hard, been listening to a certain late game battle theme for days now

- Corbeau is genuinely the best character in the game by a utter, gargantuan landslide, no one even remotely comes close

finished pokemon legends za on wednesday, here are some thoughts

- game runs at a buttery smooth 60fps on switch 2, never thought i'd actually say that about a pokemon game

- action rpg combat is fun, hope it sticks around but doesn't replace the original gameplay

- new megas are (mostly) sick
