Lastly, I'm pretty sure at some point someone is going to sue YouTube over it so I doubt that even if this becomes a thing that it'll even last that long.

Also, AI is piss poor at actually detecting things so a good amount of videos will slip past it and you'll be able to watch things normally. If push comes to shove, just don't watch YouTube on your account so the AI can't track your user data.

Quickly jumping in to add that I hate laundering the admin's language. The "shock and awe" in LA accomplished nothing, people are still protesting and out in force every day, and they've wound down from 5,000 to 250. It was, in every sense, an absolute failure.

It's super easy to fly under the radar of AI as from experience it needs something to be hyper specific for it to be able to detect it. It's also noting that OSA, which kicked off this whole thing, is wildly unpopular over in the UK so I can see it being repealed at some point soon.

You'd be surprised just how shitty AI actually is at detecting things so the majority of content creators are going to be fine. I doubt it's going to have as big of an impact as we think and it's going to be more of an annoyance then a serious detriment.
