On Monday, Popular Information broke the news that the NIH had frozen virtually all grant funding in violation of 2 federal court orders

On Wednesday, NIH leadership distributed a memo, acknowledging that its funding freeze was illegal and directing staff to resume issuing grants.

They shouldn't have been in such a hurry to comply in advance, but at least some of them are figuring it out now.

People who've never been dependent on a paycheck should not get to decide how long you can go without yours.

I really believe that when capitalists make it clear that they'll disregard every peaceful, legal attempt by the public to enact meaningful change & will only make concessions when backed into a corner with violence: that's THEIR choice

They lost more seats than most other states. Now the R majority is ramping up targeting us.

Dear Humans, I have had enough. Lo, I have watched as politicians offer empty “thoughts and prayers.” Children are slain, for decades now, in their schools, and yet they do nothing. Meanwhile, one CEO is slain and they immediately get armed guards, 24/7 surveillance, and crisis hotlines to report the slightest inconvenience. What the hell is wrong with these assholes!?

I feel strongly that accessibility options in video games should ALWAYS be supported.

I don't care if you think a game is "meant" to be played a certain way. The trade-off should never be to hinder gamers with disabilities in order to preserve that. It's an incredibly selfish stance to take.

If you become disabled, the system will do everything in its power to try and not help you. Disabled people have been telling you this for decades. We can't just get all of our needs met. Most barely get enough to survive. The system is designed to fail us.

Democratic Senators Refuse Vote To Remove Anti-Trans Amendment From Military Budget The move follows passage of the NDAA in the House of Representatives, which will be the first national anti-trans law in recent years.

Today, Democratic Senators refused to hold a vote to remove the anti-trans amendment targeting healthcare of the trans children of service members from the NDAA.

Only 14 Senators voted against the final bill.
