I made this mixed media sculpture over the summer. The trout body is hand carved wood, the fins are lexan, both airbrushed and hand painted, the water/base is UV resin. I want to make similar a largemouth bass piece once the weather warms up!

Thanks! Sort of, it's a "lever style" fountain pen. There is a small rubber sac in the barrel of the pen. Then you pull up on the level to squeeze the sac, dip the nib in ink and release the lever, and it sucks up the ink into the sac. 😀 modern fountain pens use ink cartridges or piston mechanisms

Wanted to start a new painted bottle. Planning on adding 2 more fish to this bottle. Maybe a perch and a trout. Started with a pencil sketch, applied clear gesso on that, then airbrush, paint brush and ink pen. Finished with an acrylic sealing gloss clear coat.

Just drew this falcon breaking through the universe piece. pencil and white ink on mixed media. First time using a white ink pen on graphite and I really enjoyed it.

Finished these three lures. The perch has internal weight transfer! The other two have an internal rattling mechanism. Learned some new techniques with both the carving and painting of these. Added a bit of iridescent white to the clear coat for extra dimension.

Caught this very healthy large mouth on the new 3 piece pickerel swimbait! (which had great swim action). There are more big fish in this cove that I hope to land before the end of summer.

Finished this rattling crankbait, the paint and clear coat came out great. Used steel ball bearings and two metal 10mm black dog tags for the rattling section. I like the way it came out and will be making more of these.
