If you're looking at HRGS from Manhattan, you'll have a better view soon! The team is shifting the cofferdam east toward the shore. Deep Soil Mixing also continues inside the cofferdam. We've now mixed more than 428 soilcrete columns.

The MTP team has completed test pit excavations at Block 675 and Hudson River Park. Next step: starting construction of the slurry walls for the 12th Avenue Shaft.

🚂WEEK-END UPDATE: Palisades Tunnel Project🚧
You’ve got to go up to go down at the Palisades Tunnel Project site. The team built a massive ramp to install secant piles that will stabilize the sides of the launch point for the boring machines that will dig this section of tunnel.

🚉WEEK-END UPDATE: Tonnelle Avenue🚂

This week, the Tonnelle Ave team implemented the final traffic switch, moving traffic into the newly-built middle section of the bridge. This marks the beginning of the final phase of work on this project!

🔨WEEK-END UPDATE: HYCC-3 🚂
Excavation continues at the HYCC-3 construction site in Manhattan. The trench that will hold the tunnel box is now 60 feet deep, at the deepest point. The teams have removed more than 50,000 tons of soil and 1.7 million gallons of water.

Cofferdams date back to the Roman Empire, but are still used for construction today. We’re using one in the Hudson River to enable work stabilizing a section of the riverbed for tunnel boring.

Now that summer is here, we're preparing for in-water work on the Hudson River Ground Stabilization project to resume, shifting the temporary cofferdam in the Hudson River east toward Manhattan. Work to stabilize the riverbed for tunnel boring will continue inside the cofferdam.

Thousands of men and women work on building the Hudson Tunnel Project every day. For many, this is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to build a legacy.

The Hudson County Shaft is starting to take shape! This shaft will be used to switch the tunnel boring machines that dig through the Palisades with machines that are optimized for digging through the soft silt under the Hudson River.

The gateway to Gateway is coming together! Stage 2 of the Tonnelle Ave. Project is nearly complete. Soon traffic will shift to the middle section of the bridge, setting the team up to finish the final portion of this project.

Work has started on the MTP! Investigatory geotechnical boring is in progress to understand the exact makeup of the fill that the team will tunnel through and identify obstructions that will need to be removed or navigated around.

We’re making steady progress on the Hudson River Ground Stabilization Project! The team removed obstructions in the current work area and is now mixing concrete into the soil in columns and wedges. So far, 250 columns and 6 wedges are installed.

We are are thrilled to announce that the HYCC-3 Project has reached the halfway point on schedule! This project is building the last section of the rail right-of-way beneath Hudson Yards that will connect the new tunnel to NY Penn Station. Learn more at www.gatewayprogram.org/wp-content/u...
