I have the exact same issue with me not wanting to play anything other than a single game, albeit exclusively with TF2. Though it's not as bad since I've been using computers and playing a variety of games since I was very little, so that combined with 1TB of PS2 games on an external HDD helps lol.

I must be out of touch or something, cuz I think the attitude of "emulation is too hard!!!" stems from the user either not knowing what files go where and giving up, or being lazy. Then again, it could be Nintendo fanboys trying to downplay the accessibility of emulation.

I really believe it's because of mobile phones making things needlessly more complex than needed. The emulators themselves aren't really the problem, it's the mobile devices in terms of file structure, failure to teach the user how to manage files, etc
