I think there's only one single device on the whole laptop that doesn't work, and honestly I don't need it (gyro for screen rotation).

Like... My experience has been SO good that I'm considering ditching Windows on the desktop again, with my only hangup being some programs that are tied to work.

So like... I just want to say how incredibly happy I am with Arch on my laptop.

The initial setup phase and first day of troubleshooting was painful, but now the damn thing is rock solid. I've not had a Linux install this stable like... Ever. Especially not on a laptop.

This is the kinda shit that makes me look into relocating to NYC again.

Hopefully Mamdani does great work making the city more affordable, because housing cost is literally the only reason I keep not going for it.

I worked at Walmart during the transition period. I remember people being real mad if you called their SNAP benefits Food Stamps.

I haven't seen it personally, but it wouldn't surprise me. "Food stamps" was renamed "SNAP" partly because of the social stigma. People who lost their livelihoods in the housing market crash refused food stamps out of pride, calling it SNAP benefits made them more willing to accept the aid.
