As I grow a better understanding of game design, I've come to the conclusion Pokémon is more of a sandbox game for children than a properly structured, well thought out RPG experience for people who like RPGs. And that's fine.

even the most fast-paced action game will become way more manageable if you take the time to think and apply strategies rather than trying to rely solely on intuition and reactions
