πŸ“ˆ This is what progress looks like! This working group, hosted by the CEM & funded by CIEE, brought together several bright minds from McGill, Yale, the Norwegian University of Science & Technology, and @uofguelph.bsky.social to focus on linking organismal thermal tolerance to population processes.

We can’t wait to dig in to this topic with some amazing speakers! We will explore barriers to effective and inclusive communication in different settings, and identify ways to address them.

Stay tuned for more details!

Strengthening of negative density dependence mediates population decline at high temperatures You have to enable JavaScript in your browser's settings in order to use the eReader.

Warming can affect many physiological processes. But any attempt to scale up individual-level processes to population-level consequences must assume a relationship between temperature & the strength of density dependence. But what does it look like? In our new paper, we tried to find out.
