It is unbelievably frustrating and scary to consistenly reach out to Democratic representatives citing a specific concern and to have them act like I said something completely different.

In letters and calls to representatives, I've consistently mentioned the attacks on transgender people as my primary concern regarding current legislative battles. Every response I get, be it about the government shutdown or local bills, is always canned platitudes and never mentions trans people.

When you hate trans people so much that they take up two of your four bullet points.

If trans rights get taken away then that opens the door for them to take away others’ rights also. Saying trans rights are human rights is not hyperbole or an exaggeration because you know it’s not so don’t leave anything to chance. especially when dealing with legitimately gleefully evil people.

Peter Thiel is a neo-monarchist and directly influential to someone who's a heartbeat away from presidency. Anti-trans rhetoric mainly spread and grew through forums and twitter before hitting mainstream outlets. But the most important thing is finding a candidate who can TikTok dance, I guess.

There's a huge chunk of political actors who understand that the internet is influential in politics, but they take it to mean that they have to dunk on an opponent in some sort of irl qrt and not that there are strange, concerning internet subcultures that are harming political thought.

Would it be a political action to explain all the terrible things he said to my students? Yes! So too would be presenting him as a tragic figure to be honored. Given my job as teacher will be to inform students, I prefer the political action which accurately informs my students.

If National Charlie Kirk Day becomes a thing then I suppose the responsible thing to do as an future teacher would be to compile a video of the things he said and show it to my students. You know, all the things he said about the Civil Rights Act and women and queer people. That's okay, right?

Mandatory meeting today for my tutoring assignment. Some guy said he used AI services to turn students' writings into songs as a way to motivate them. In that moment I felt the most sadness over not being able to explode people with my mind.

Recognizing my desire to be a woman meant I finally cared about clothes that expressed who I was, maintaining my hygiene, finding community with people, and extending empathy outward. I make more friends, I care more deeply, and I've given more thought and commitment to the causes I believe in.

Transition made me realize I was apathetic to my appearance and health my entire life; an emotion so deeply entrenched in my soul that I couldn't recognize it until it was gone. You gotta leave a voice mail. You gotta call them and talk to their aid and leave a message. They don't read emails. They don't care. Call them at night if you can't handle talking to a person, but if they don't have an answering machine you gotta suck it up and talk to their aid during the day.
