Yeah, I consciously avoid VC bloodsuckers when I have the opportunity to do so. In general, I value slow 💰 > fast 💸. VC and quick money types get automatic skepticism as a natural defensive response. Sounds like you're better for being away from it too

Wow, yeah that's a tough spot. Sounds like you had some really inspired work to share. It is dangerous to care more about a solution than your client/stakeholder (tough to maintain any sort of boundaries when you "believe" in the mission)

I feel this 💯, I knew that they needed me more than I needed them. VC profiteers will always land shit-side up because there will always be the mathematical possibility of a lower common denominator

This role was definitely the most rewarding, I got to craft a eng/dev team that I (myself as a dev) would want to be a member of. My advocacy for them eventually got me laid off, but I take that as an honor.

Yeah... Definitely guilty as charged. Not only that but I was such an effective product owner that I got myself promoted into sr leadership for a FinTech org. I didn't figure it would be that obvious, but so it goes. 😔 I'm in enterprise arch now, but product management has left me forever tarnished
